BIOGRAPHY
Guy Rolnik is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of TheMarker and Deputy, Publisher of Ha'aretz Group.
TheMarker is the Israeli's leading daily business newspaper, including the most influential on-line financial news service and most important monthly business magazine. It is part of Ha'aretz Group, which is Israel’s most respected news group.
Ha'aretz is considered Israel’s paper of record and the most reliable source of local and international daily news and commentary, addressing the country's decision-makers in matters of policy, culture and business. Established in 1919, it is Israel’s oldest daily newspaper, and publishes an English edition together with the International Herald Tribune.
A graduated of the Harvard Business School AMP program for senior managers (AMP 165.2003), Guy Rolnik also holds an MBA from the Kellogg business administration school, Northwestern University, Chicago and the Recanati business school, Tel Aviv, plus a B.A in Economics and Management from Tel Aviv University.
Since its inception in 1994, Mr. Rolnik's daily column in Ha'aretz concerning financial markets, economic policy, technology and matters of corporate strategy has been closely followed and highly regarded by top economic decision makers, in addition to enjoying wide general readership.
In 2005, the Advertisers' Association named Guy Rolnik "Marketing Man of the Year" for converting TheMarker's internet brand to include a daily business newspaper, which revolutionized the activities of the whole Ha'aretz Group.
That same year, he received the "Champion of Quality of Government" in recognition of the important contribution of his writing towards overcoming corruption and improving the quality of government in Israel.
In 2007, TheMarker won the Effie Awards' "Platinum Award" for the best achievement in business marketing over last 5 years.
