BIOGRAPHY
André Möllersmann was appointed head of G+J international brands and licenses, Gruner + Jahr in June 2009. Before that, Möllersmann was director of GEO International since 2005, where he was responsible for GEO International and supervisor of the publishing department. Mollersman has seen GEO launch in 14 countries and GEO Saison (travel magazine) in two countries.
He has also set up cross-country international ad-sales, known as the ‘International GEO Ad package’, from concept, to development, design and the launch preparation of the GEO International websites (which were rolled-out in autumn 2008). In 2004-2005, André was manager (Objektleiter) at GALA and FRAU IM SPIEGEL. Here, he was responsible for all marketing activities of the titles Gala and Frau Im Spiegel.

Based in Hamburg, Gruner + Jahr has more than 300 magazines and newspapers in 24 countries, more than 14,500 employees and had a turnover of around €2.83bn in the financial year of 2007. The operating BIT in 2008 was €181m. Bertelsmann AG owns 74.9 per cent of Gruner + Jahr, while the remaining 25.1 per cent is owned by the Jahr publishing family from Hamburg.
