Eric Jillard

BIOGRAPHY

As department manager, digital marketing & CRM for Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA), Eric Jillard leads the strategy and execution of all elements related to Mercedes-Benz internet marketing in the U.S., including the company’s public web site MBUSA.com, related dealer web properties, and online media.  With responsibility for emerging media, Jillard also leads the company’s social- and mobile marketing initiatives.  In addition, Jillard is responsible for evolving the company’s CRM approach, recognizing the consumer shift toward digital media.

Prior to being appointed this position in January 2008, Jillard was vice president of strategy at iCrossing, Inc. (formerly Proxicom, Inc.), where he led the business analysis, optimization, and strategic planning functions.  During his eight years there, he led digital strategy, web development, and online marketing initiatives for a variety of auto industry clients, including Volkswagen of America, Chase Auto Finance, GMAC, Renault, and Subaru of America.

For the two years previous, Jillard headed internet business development at Mercedes-Benz Credit Corp, working across all lines of business to conceive, launch, and manage digital initiatives.  Jillard began his career in digital marketing in 1996 at the Hertz Corporation, where he worked on strategy and development of the company’s first websites and online advertising.  

With a Master’s degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Ariz., Jillard also holds his degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware.  Jillard currently resides in Maplewood, NJ with his wife Meaghan.
